In 1986 when Mr Miguel Gil took over the small family jewel setting business, no-one expected the fast expansion he would bring to this branch. In constantly innovating and providing practical and technical solutions, he was a pioneer who contributed greatly to making jewel setting in watchmaking more accessible.

Today Gil Sertissage S.A. employs about a hundred people at La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland and at its abroad sites. It has more than 50 CNC machinines using 5 simultaneous axis and manages their technology perfectly, as it’s doing for all the other high-tech equipment belonging to the company.

The core business is, of course, diamonds setting but it also includes all the services a modern company can provide from the design, development and manufacture of exceptional, unique projects to mass production.

Modern development tools, integrated production, design and manufacture of its own machining tools, polishing management: all guarantee an uncompromising in-house reproducibility of quality.

All these reasons contribute to the loyalty and confidence shown to Gil Sertissage S.A. by all the great watchmaking and luxury goods brands for nearly 30 years.
